When it comes to picking dj equipment for beginners, there are some specific things you should look for:
- Dj Equipment for Beginners ‘Price’ – Perhaps we’ll begin with the obvious one – Price is a concern for many people. Most people want to get the most value for their money… and that’s valid – that’ what make and maintain the free market system that we have for so long… since you are not here for econ101 let’s move on. The price of the dj equipment for beginners is greatly influenced by the output level. Equipments with better mixing capabilities, better sound will be more expensive…generally. That is why I have created this site – the idea is to be certain you get the best dj equipment for beginners for less than you’d normally pay…that’s right – I’ll hook you up.
- Dj Equipment for Beginners ‘Pitch Power’ – Another obvious one – the idea is to have a set of beat and pitch tools that will help you with beat matching and harmonic mixing. Basically, when start playing a track your dj equipment should automatically analyzes its BPM which is tempo, and displays it on screen. There are some that come with a Tap tempo button for manual BPM entry. You can alter the track’s BPM by ±6, 12, 25, and 100% using the pitch fader. For each of those ranges, you should be able to engage Key Lock, which holds the pitch of the track while you independently manipulate its BPM.
- Dj Equipment for Beginners ‘Format Freedom’ – for your dj equipment for beginners you might want to buy touch-sensitive illuminated platters and controls for cueing and scratching your music – if you can afford it. Many advanced dj equipment for beginners now days has an integrated dock for your iPod, so you can play tracks from your iPod and even record your set onto the popular portable music device itself. If you are a mobile dj then portability is important to you so by having the ability to connect a USB flash drive on the deck for access to your MP3s songs without taking a computer or CDs to the gig – that would be beneficial for lots of DJs.
- Dj Equipment for Beginners ‘Mighty Mixer’ – If you can afford it again you might want to have a full-featured mixer built in with each input channel has its own gain. The mixer channels need to control the audio from onboard players, incoming audio from your computer, or external sources such as turntables, MP3s players and others.
Of course there are some other things that beginner djs get cheap and scamp on often – like the DJ Mixer – which is the center piece that connects the majority of your DJ Equipment together. So basically your turntables, headphones, microphone, CD turntable, and an amplifier all need to be connected to your mixer. This piece right there needs to be top notch. For a beginner dj having the top of the line mixer may not be necessary but I’ll show you where you can find many different dj equipment for beginners at great prices.

Dj Packages for Beginners
Q: Any Good dj packages for beginners
I’m looking for one, do you know any good sites? Good dj packages for beginners?
A: What kind of Dj do you want to be? These days you can be either digital or analogue.
First decide if you want to stick with the Old Skool vinyl turntables (analogue) or if you would prefer to mix using your CDs or if you want to mix with MP3 (both digital).
When you know which tools you want to start working with you should go and purchase:
1. Turntables, Mixer, Vinyl Records, and Numark HF125 DJ Headphones (probably an Amplifier, Speakers and Audio Leads)
2. Midi Control Surface for Mixing MP3s [Midi Controller]
But you can also Mix your MP3s using old skool Turntables if you Buy Time Coded Vinyl and a Quality External Sound Card to Go with your Turntables.
MP3/digital has got to be the cheapest and quickest way. Vinyl requires you to keep buying records, so if you can afford to buy monthly vinyl then turntables (option 1) is good ..Source(s): Amazon.com and Musicians Friend
Q: Need a good beginner dj package?
I am looking to get learn (for fun) some djing skills. I want to use vinyl and I am mainly into dubstep, reggae, electro etc. Do you know of any good dj packages for beginners available at reasonable prices or have any advice? Thanks
A: I’d say practice on some software before buying a set of decks, I recomend virtual DJ( you can get it free off a torrent) then if you enjoy it have a look at these…Numark MIXTRACK DJ Software Controller
(I know its not vinyl but its a lot cheaper.)
Q: Are these good beginner DJ speaker packages?
I was looking around Guitar Center’s website and found some low-priced PA systems for use in my basic mobile DJ rig. I found the Harbinger HA120 Portable PA System and Harbinger HA60 Portable PA System. The HA120 is the bigger and more powerful, they are both the same price, but Guitar Center has a discount of 50% on the lesser model. I looked at reviews and there were some pretty bad ones for the lesser HA60 model, but the lowest review of the HA120 was a 4/5 star.
I need help deciding if either of these are good PA systems to look into buying. I can always price-shop them to death on Amazon, but I want to know if this is a good start. It just seems that $300 is very little for a full PA system (it’s on 120 Watts, though). I am looking into doing school dances and smaller events, so I won’t need anything too big, but I want room to grow so I can make some $$$ before I buy another set.
A: Well, it’s a brand I have never heard of. If you’re just starting out you have to think that people might not want to use you again if you have a sub-par system that doesn’t sound very good. Given that, the Harbinger system may do the trick for small venues but will (excuse my colloquialism) sound like a fart in a bathtub in a big room like a gym. If you possibly can, scrounge up some more money and get a recognized name brand like JBL, Behringer, Mackie etc,. When starting out it is sometimes wise to work at a loss in order to be as professional as possible. You might even consider renting gear for important events. You are only as good as your worst performance. Better to do a good job and get a good reputation than to make money and have a dissatisfied customer when you are first starting out. That’s how I built my business and I’m now doing quite well and very highly regarded.

I want to get into DJ’ing, but have no experience. I mean like Djs that work weddins and grad parties, who will add effects on the spot. I’m looking at the packages on Pro Sound & Stage and need advice on what I may need and how to get started.
So what would i need and which one of these is cheap enough but good for a beginner who knows nothing to work with? I would be grateful for any help
